Boy have I got a post for you. I recently was allowed to test and wear some pants and a shirt from Carhartt. As you know before, I was building cabinets for a client of mine. Well, they are all done! Got the bar and everything done and all looks great. She was really impressed by the way the walnut turned out. Not bad from taking her rough cut lumber and making something that stands out!

Diamond in the Rough

I am sure at one time in your life you had something that you owned that was a little less than perfect or barely passable by most people's standards. Well, this particular item of mine is my vintage 1972 Chevy C10 truck that I love but doesn't sit well with the rest of my family because it is "old" as they say. It has alot of potential and has a great running engine as most of you saw before in another post of mine.  Here is how it sits currently in all of it's glory as a hard working truck, doing what trucks were meant to do...Haul Stuff!

To me it is fun to drive, even though it doesn't have air conditioning, power brakes or power steering. What it does have is a well built motor with not much that can go wrong with it, other than something mechanical.....unlike today's cars and trucks that have way too much smog and sensor stuff. My plan is to slow repair the rust areas with new sheet metal, which I have some of already and to redo the paint and the interior. It is alot of work and I enjoy doing it, but it takes time to do it right. This is something similar to what I would like for my truck to look like.

I have always been nuts about these trucks and one day I was fortunate enough to get my hands on one. It had a locked up motor and was in bad shape but I brought it back from the graveyard (junkyard). Soon, I will be tearing into it and bringing it back to something that my wife and kids would be proud to ride in with me. So, to all of you with a Diamond in the Rough, just remember that that Diamond is waiting for you to find it and make it shine for all to see!

When my wife had her smart phone the first time, she really thought she was such a low-tech kind of individual, a late bloomer! But then later on, she got to get the hang of it and realized that smart phones are one of the best innovations we have nowadays. Smart phones indeed makes great things possible like sharing pictures, play endless games, stream videos, connect to the internet with a very easy touch screen set up. And how about the apps we can download? It’s just so great to actually learn about the weather, count calories, and find locations in few simple clicks. This was the latest project i did. 13 steps total it was tiring but fulfilling, another accomplishment of mine. Anyway, the stairway is outdated carpet and she is having a hard time cleaning it so she asked me to do the customized hardwood steps. I got her the smooth oak wood. Been working for 3 days with my helpful wifey. She's been with me cheering and my handy hand.

The finished product. The couple are so happy and they both love their new hardwood stairway. Of course i am proud of myself. The dark stain color of the wood compliments the white board and instead of just plain steps lined up, i added my final touch the oak trim thought it was neat and so the wife agreed. Nothing much happier when you heard positive feedback by your clients. She even give us extra labor for it than what expected!

Make sure guys to drink a lot of water this time of days by far this is the hottest temperature in our state and it could be more worst eventually! Be cautious of being dehydration especially people working outside to much just like me as a handyman most of my job this time of the are outside that is why my wife keeps reminding to carry a bottled water whenever i may be! We have just purchased a time share in Florida. I am really feeling good about this investment. The company we are working with is top notch, and really excellent to do business with. We got a pretty good deal on it, as well. The really neat thing is we can “swap” time at other condos in different parts of the country. So, really, we got a timeshare at the beach, and in the mountains because we can swap with others. The condo we got is new- brand new. We, and the 4 other families going in on it, are the first owners ever. We have split various chores and jobs based on our areas of expertise. One of the women is an interior designer, for example, so of course she is going to do the decorating and plans. I signed up to research tv options and find the best one. I’ve been focusing my research this far on www.cannonsatellite.com, and am thinking that might be our best move as a group. There are lots of things to consider.

Take a break

Hello ya'll i know for a fact i am neglecting my page lately, lots of reasons behind my excused! First, the tax time isn't over yet but glad to know though that we are pushing to the last month of taxes, second i am busy as well fixing my furniture website, my handyman thing and more! So there's no way i could catch up in here all the time, whew! I am just very much grateful that my wife is there to support every step of the way so far she's with me 100% on this projects i am into right now. Moreover, the planned of moving to sunshine state is still at mind so here and there we are hectically preparing just my time right now i beyond indescribable. However the family get a chance to take a bit of break this weekend we have a convention for 2 days so might as well spend a wonderful one night stay at Hilton Suite thought of taking the moment to relax and just chill out with my wife and kids!

When I get home from work today, I am going to use my Wallingford 4g internet connection to do some research on the best dog foods. For years, I have been feed my dog food that I buy at the grocery store. It usually costs twenty dollars a bag. He seems to like it, so I never really worried to much about it. I figured that all the dog foods were probably about the same. It turns out I was very wrong. When I was home last weekend, my brother-in-law stopped by and brought his dog. We started talking about dog foodsand he said that his dog’s food cost sixty dollars a bag! I was floored! I just couldn’t believe it. Then I started feeling really bad. I felt so bad for feeding my baby food and his cousin was getting food that was two times the price. Before I start upgrading his food and believing my brother-in-law about all the benefits of the more expensive food, I am going to do some research. I am hoping that there is really not that much difference, or else I am going to feel absolutely terrible!

I have recently launch my new online store for custom cabinets and furniture. As you know that i have the passion of creativity that's why i name it Joy's of Creation: TAKE JOY IN WHAT WE CREATE! I was trying to imagine myself without the technologies of today. I got shocked with what I saw! If I have to write letters to friends or relatives, gotta spend a good portion of what I earn and wait for their reply after a year? No way! Imagine no shopping in the convenience of your home? You have to search for the goods you are looking for in every shops down the road. I mean it, no way! With online stores you can choose goods and services on your specifications and trim your cost on fuel, time and energy! Well thanks for the technological advancement, life has been made easier!

So it would not really come as a shock that people are turning to the digital market, which includes television, the radio, mobile phones and most specifically the Internet. Take this for example, I stumbled upon this infographic on middle eastern digital marketing. It shows that the trend on social site users soared high, skyrocketing! As this number increases, it makes a good market for the companies. Hence, it shows that 27% of the increased budget on digital marketing was appropriated for these group. Indeed the Internet which includes the social sites is a good channel on how companies would reach their market in the Middle East, most especially in UAE as shown in the stats. It would be wise for companies if they provide search engine marketing in the Middle East.

Howdy

It's been so long that i came and visit this blog of mine, is just that i am losing time to seat in the computer screen been really busy this passed several weeks since the wife is working as well out time is very limited. Wife hates new obsession

I have a new obsession. I know I am probably the last one to get satellite television, but I love it. I am aware it has become an obsession, but it is just so wonderful. The directtv channel lineup is amazing and so easy to access. The show variety is fabulous and there is always a sports game on. I think my wife is really starting to be annoyed by this obsession. Before we had satellite, we would spend a lot of time doing puzzles, playing games or just talking about whatever. Now, the first thing I want to do is watch television and the last thing I want to do is watch television. Hopefully she understands that it is something new and it will eventually wear off, but I think she just misses the quality time together. I will eventually make it up to her, but I am enjoying the newness of the television to worry about it right now. I am sure that sounds a little heartless, but imagine if you were introduced to satellite for the first time. What would you be doing?

Family Weekend

The wifey and I took the kids to the Space & Rocket Center last Saturday it was a fund day for four of us! Just some of the photos that wife took while she's enjoying taking pictures of everything, our boy and I are having the time of our life because the place is definitely a manly thingy all kinds of rockets, spacecrafts, missile from small to huge they even have the spaceship simulator that you can try! Wish i could try the feeling of outer space but it just that if you have a passed injuries you are not allow to enter, too bad i had one in the list! My poor neck, haha. Anyway, my wife wanted to do so but kiddos won't allow her either but needless to say we had a great and fantastic quality time up there! Sure we will be coming back next year! Art schools in Florida

My wife and I have been thinking of enrolling our kids to art school. She likes our son to learn piano and ballet for the little girl. I think that would be cool and special. Talents need to be develop in an early age. Did you know there are cultural and art schools in Florida? that's pretty famous worldwide. When our kids grow up, and maybe that time we'll be moving to Florida already, we can send them to those schools and have them the best training only the experts can offer. Looking forward this coming spring, would be enrolling them to art classes. My wife is more excited about it!

I would like to

Pursue a course that's long been over-due. I mean, at collage I really wanted to take up interior design. My brother is architect and looking at him designing buildings and houses gives me the inspiration to develop whatever creative talent I have, lol! Perhaps a talent or a degree of interior design would be online for this project, too. I have in mind. Am really looking forward to design my dream house in the future. Anyway, those are just my thoughts. Still unaware when it would be possible though. If ever that time comes, at least I know where to find online universities that's willing to provide such knowledge.

By the way this is the handyman's wife updating here, the handyman is taking his rest for now been a long day for him even it's Sunday! Whew.

Angry Birds Rio

I guess am old but at least young at heart, haha! Pretty sure you are all familiar with this addicting games of Angry Birds. Well my wife, 2 kids and I are hooked on this lately we're done played the entire levels of the other AB sequel/version so i just got this angry birds Rio for us to play. I tell you it is fun and enjoyable specially when you know the trick and strategies on how to target it right! Very funny as well your family and you won't get bored. HAHA!

Query

Did you know some online universities offer carpentry and shop classes?) Been thinking about it because as you know i am a handyman, a carpenter by trade. Ever since i could remember I'm really into it and had been given great feedback from my clients for years. Wife advice maybe I could take up short courses on carpentry so to learn even more skills and techniques. As what my dad said, there's so much to learn. The carpentry work is so diverse and requires a lot of training and knowledge. Just being proud of myself is great achievement. Seeing my creations and finished products, I know i got a long way to go and the knowledge I've got would be a legacy to my son.

Just a thought

In need of inspiration, sometimes I think about looking into a diesel (or other kinds of)
mechanic schools. Not for me though but for my wife's brother my brother in-law in the Philippines. Wife and I agree the we like him to take up short courses that would develop more skills so he'll be more capable of different kind of jobs. I still don't know if he's interested but as I remember, we've talked about it before. Well, it's such a good thing to acquire knowledge on vast areas. The good thing nowadays is that there are online schools that provides extensive and great training on different courses. We gotta talk to him about it first, i am 100% supportive.

90 Amp Flux Wire Welder

This welder will save my day! I am currently planning to get the 90 amp flux wire welder, because  this would save so much time for me to fix my truck and I am getting anxious and excited. I can't wait until my truck is ready for an overhaul. A lot to get it done though but i know in no time I will finish it.
